Arnegger was an Austrian painter, best known for his romantic landscapes of rural life and architecture along the Mediterranean coast. He was born in 1879 and studied under classical painters of academic and historical subjects at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. After he completed his formal training, he began to develop his own style of painting pastoral and rural landscapes in his native Austria. He then shifted his focus to the alluring vistas and lush landscapes of the Italian countryside and coast.
