Louise Cochrane was one of the most active and influential patrons of the arts in Central Virginia. She counted the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens among her most treasured landmarks. She was a talented artist as well, with a solo exhibition of her work mounted at the VMFA to celebrate what would have been her 100th birthday in January 2016.
