Somerset County, Pennsylvania, circa 1850s, having an old tag which indicates Spangler-Father and Son as possible makers, full maple stock, 40 in. octagonal barrel with illegible signature, 44 cal., double triggers, brass furniture, lock engraved ATKINSON WARRANTED with hunter and goose flying, raised cheek rest with brass adornment, wood ram rod.
