Possibly made from North Carolina parts, circa 1850s, full length wood stock, 40 in. octagonal barrel, 53 cal., double trigger, brass furniture, brass patchbox, raised cheek rest, brass button decoration, wooden ramrod, lock engraved with bird dog treeing a bird and the name N ASHMORE.
