Oil on canvas (lined), circa 1756, unsigned, painted in feigned ovals, both with the Earldom of Egmont shield beneath a coronet and above the motto Sub Cruce Candida; the portrait of Catherine Perceval (née Compton), Countess of Egmont and later Baroness of Arden, retaining a hand-written label to verso, presented in period gilt composition frames.

Stretcher size 12 x 10 in.; Frame dimensions 16 1/2 x 14 1/2 in. (each)
