1942 Ford Super Deluxe Business Coupe
Lot Details & Additional Photographs

VIN: 77653

The Business Coupe was built for the traveling salesman. As there was no need for a back seat, the car was built with the doors the same size as the door of a 4-door sedan. Behind the seat is a concealed compartment that allowed for just enough room to place samples or a briefcase. The trunk was much larger so that the salesman could carry plenty of merchandise.

Also sixteen-inch painted steel wheels, four-ply 6.00x16 "Ford" whitewall tires by Universal Tire Company. It retains the original 6 Volt positive ground electrical system.

Exterior paint in Moselle Maroon with slight metallic flake, and the steel wheels are painted a tan/slightly mauve color. Black welting is used at panel joints.
The interior in a tan/grey tweed, with velour and vinyl door cards. The dash is finished in a faux painted woodgrain in a light oak color. All of the original Bakelite interior pieces are present. A rubber mat covers the floor.
