Piedmont Region, early 19th century, poplar and yellow pine secondary, two-part form, the custom later upper bookcase with applied cove molding above two hinged paneled cabinet doors, shelved interior, the desk with dovetailed case, with hinged lipped slant lid with loper support, interior with eight small drawers and eight pigeonholes; the case with four graduated cockbeaded drawers, scalloped skirt, straight bracket feet with spur.

Later 20th century top with associated antique base; later prospect door; hinged lid with break, cut, patch, and repair at hinge area; hinge lid with lip loss at upper left and right corners and shrinkage crack; some drawer runners rebuilt; some drawer guides lose but present; later pulls but in original holes.
