Attributed to New England, late 18th century, the first having a seven spindle back with plank seat, turned splayed base with stretcher, (37 x 17 x 16 in., seat height 16 3/4 in.); the second, nine spindle hoop back, plank seat side chair, with turned splayed leg base, (37 1/2 x 20 1/2 x 18 in., seat height 17 1/2 in.) (chair retaining nice old dark mellow surface color); third chair, eight spindle support, shaped ears, shaped plank seat, splayed turned leg base (34 1/2 x 21 x 18 in., seat height 16 1/2 in.)(old, but later paint, paint wear and losses.)
