After receiving an Associate of Arts degree in 1984 in painting and drawing, Paul Rhymer worked at the Smithsonian Institution doing taxidermy and model making for twenty-five years and retired in 2010. Paul now focuses time on his sculptural works of birds, mammals, and installations. His work has been exhibited in such prestigious art shows and venues such as the National Sculpture Society, the Society of Animal Artists, the National Zoo, National Museum of Natural History, the Denver Zoo, Woodson Art Museum, Hiraim Blauvelt Museum and well known public buildings, parks and private collections thought the US. Paul is also on the Board of Directors for the Society of Animal Artists and the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art. His work is represented by The Legacy Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Turner Fine Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Berkley Gallery in Warrenton, Virginia; and Lunds Fine Art Gallery in Park City, Utah.
