England, late 19th century, two part form, scalloped shell form jardiniere, set on a conforming base in the form of a dolphin over waves, in an ombre green glaze, both marked.

The pedestal is made in three parts and bolted together, the previous owner placed some paper tissue between the base and the dolphin to avoid chipping, there is some joint looseness to the base; the jardiniere with two tight old hairlines to the rim and a small area of glaze loss; some very minor glaze chips to the base edge; chip and loss to one leaf on pedestal near top edge.
