The first, with an underside label reading "Seal on Ice / Joe Beardy" beneath "Joe G. Beardy" incised in the stone (repair to the sculpture's left tip; a few minor scratches); the second depicts a recumbent seal, the underside with an illegible signature and an inventory number obscured by an "Eskimo Art" label; several small marks (3 x 7 in.).
