Circa 1770, three part form, mahogany veneer, oak and pine secondary, removable cornice featuring a pitched broken arched pediment with applied Chinese Chippendale fretwork and dentil molding, central plinth, the bookcase with two hinged astragal mullioned doors, louvered shelved interior, the bureau with a molded lipped hinged fall front lid with loper support, distinctive inlay at prospect door with gentleman hunter flanked by two inlaid Corinthian capital document drawers, eight small inlaid drawers, four pigeonholes, above two over two over one cock beaded graduated drawers, bracket foot base.

94.5 x 47 x 25 in., bookcase width 44 in.

Cornice with loss to fretwork and some dentil molding; plinth missing finial; crack/repair at lid by escutcheon; interior with age-appropriate marring and dark staining from use; later pulls; some cock beading loss to the drawers; feet are original but likely lost some height.
