England, mid to late 19th century, the first three black cut paper sillhouettes mounted on card, in similar oval mounted brass and painted wood frames, the first depicting a female facing right, hair up in floral ribbon band, with painted details (frame 5 3/4 x 4 3/4 in.); the second of a male sitter in profile facing left (5 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.); third a female profile facing left (4 1/4 x 3 1/2 in.); the fourth in gouache on paper of a British solider in uniform facing left, in bird's eye maple frame (8 1/8 x 10 1/8 in.); the fifth in colored wax bas-relief, depicting two children in Victorian dress flying a kite, mounted atop a blue velvet backing (8 x 10 1/4 in.).

Some expected wear to frames; wax figures with some cracks; otherwise good estate condition. Not examined out of the frames.
