The first book, quarto (11 in.), features twenty-three (23) engraved plates that accompany Joseph-Jérome de Lalande's Voyage en Italie (various printings, second half 18th century), the front pastedown with an early library stamp reading SOCIETE DE LECTVRE DE LA FOSSE. LEGE NONTOLLE. NANTES 1760, raised bands with gilt to leather spine; printed boards (the plates intact; some light foxing as expected; chipped boards, internally very good); plus...Nouveau Voyage En Espagne (Paris: Chez Regnault, 1789), Vol II only, small octavo (8 in.), full calf with gilt to boards and page edges, half title with 20th century ownership stamps from the Gymnasium in Weissenfels, Germany (some edge chipping to boards, light age toning to text, overall clean).
