Qing dynasty (1644-1912), ink and colors with gilt highlights on paper, large scale portrait painting in great detail of a husband and wife dressed in fur lined winter court robes bearing silver pheasant, seated on carved wooden chairs with green flora covering, behind them is an alter table with two memorial plaques, a vase with flowers, the faces are depicted in very realistic manner and beautiful detail is paid to the jeweled hat the wife is wearing, the husband has a dragon collar to his robe and gold buttons down the front of his robe, framed in hardwood frame with glass.
