Born in western New York, Philip Lopez has lived in North Carolina since childhood. He has studied in France and held a position with the North Carolina Museum of Art since 1985. He has exhibited at the Green Hill Center for North Carolina Art, the Raleigh Fine Arts Society, Block Gallery/City of Raleigh, Tyndall Galleries, Durham Art Guild, Spencer Gallery/Chateau de la Napoule, CAMAC (Centre d’Art Marney sur Seine), Gallery C in Raleigh, among many others.
