A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, artist Burton Tysinger is known for his boldly colored modernist geometric and dowel assembled sculptures. As a highschool teenager, Mr. Tysinger received a scholarship to the Abbot School of Art in Washington, DC. Subsequently he studied architecture at Penn State and upon graduation attended Pratt Institute in New York where he graduated in Industrial Design. He moved from La Costa, California to Wake Forest, North Carolina where he maintains a large, full-time studio. Solo exhibitions of the artist's work have been held locally at VAE in Raleigh and Focal Point Gallery in Chapel Hill, as well as other Galleries in California, Virginia, and New York.

Some marks to yellow and white paint. lower corner with scuff; plinth base with chipped area; overall good estate condition.
