Third quarter 19th century, signed L. V. E. ROBERT with foundry mark of Auguste-Maximilien Delafontaine (French, 1813-1892), now wired as dual socket table lamps, each featuring a nicely cast Classical female figure holding an urn, mounted atop a bronze and slate plinth with classical frieze scenes raised on paw and scroll feet, includes shades.

32 1/2 x 11 x 13 in.

A main competitor of the Barbedienne foundry, the Delafontaine foundry firm was located 10 Rue de L'Université in 1870, producing high quality sculptures and decorative works of art.

Some chips to slate, one plinth showing cracks and loss to lower slate terrace; some areas of rubbing to patina.
