Of dark alkaline glossy glazed stoneware, having a thin slightly rounded rim and wide arched lug handles, dark glaze runs extend downwards from each handle, one handle stamped "DS" within a rectangle, indicating a date of 1840s-50s, the opposing handle is stamped "6".

15 1/2 x 11 in.

Shallow chip to the "DS" handle; rim chips of 1/2 in. and 2 1/4 in.; some quartz pops and surface scratches as expected.
