Early to mid 18th century, mixed hardwoods, all over old black paint, turned finial post, four shaped concave slats, the upper with heart cut-out, shaped arms, turned arm supports, later rush seat, suppressed ball front feet, boldly turned front stretcher.

47.5 x 22 x 19.5 in., seat height 16.5 in.

Paint wear and losses especially at arms; later rush seat; wood break and loss at right arm by support; front feet are old but showing discoloration at the concave turnings suggesting a repair or cut.
