18th century, relief carved crest rail with stylized shell and gadrooning, later upholstered back, seat and arms, iron adjustable mechanism to recline back, carved and scrolled arms and arm supports with acanthus leaf, scalloped and relief carved skirts to all four sides with central shell, turned and faceted legs with shaped molded X-stretcher base, suppressed ball feet.
