Lancaster, Pennsylvania, circa 1850, signed H. Gable on upper barrel, .45 caliber, 33 in. octagonal barrels, walnut stock, double triggers, silver furniture to include the trigger guard, a patchbox on the right side of butt is engraved with a South Carolina palmetto motif, the left side inlaid with a crescent moon; three brass pipes on either side of the barrels secure the wooden ramrods.

Overall length 49.5 in.

Though manufactured in the North, this singular weapon has been customized with an engraved palmetto tree on the patchbox.

Original surfaces throughout; will require a gunsmith to restore mechanics; solder splitting along rear ramrod pipe on left side; good condition.
