Late 18th century, the first featuring shell and chamfered trompe l'oeil chamfered stile inlays to obverse, hinged lid with patera inlay, opens to twin-lidded compartments (4 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 4 1/2 in.); the second with ornate brass escutcheon and cast medallion pull, lifts to a divided interior with three removeable brass liners (4 1/2 x 7 3/4 x 4 1/2 in.)
