Born in Austin, Texas, Ray Donely attended the University of Texas at Austin and completed a Master’s Degree in Art History with a focus on Dutch and Spanish Baroque Art in 1983. His works feature figurative subjects, referencing the Baroque style.

Donley is a member of the National Association of Artists Organization.
