Lot Details & Additional Photographs
VIN: 438-1099/873148867864

With a 250 cubic inch in-line six cylinder engine and three-speed automatic transmission with a floor shifter. The engine was sourced from a 1975-79 Chevrolet light duty pick up truck per the casting numbers. The original motor and transmission are available, pictures are included. The 19" original wood spoke wheels have body matched, painted steel rims with Universal tires with tubes in 4.74/5.00-19, and a spare tire mounted on the rear.

The Briggs Body number 438-1099 is painted in a two-tone black/green combo, with a black vinyl sport coupe roof. Also with chrome headlights, bumpers, and radiator grill. The cowl lights are chrome, and operate with a switch on the steering wheel. A cowl vent, and windshield that opens forward is covered partially by a painted visor. The dash panel is extraordinarily simple by today's standards and its centerpiece is a speedometer with the numbers on a rotating cylinder visible through a small window, and the door pulls and window cranks appear to be original and re-finished. The self starter is controlled by a foot-operated button near the gas pedal.

From a Collector Franklinville, North Carolina.

This car was driven by the whole family.

In good running condition, with a recent fuel pump/filter replacement. An exhaust leak was addressed at the manifold, and the performance increased. The paint, vinyl roof cover, and interior in excellent condition and the chassis is remarkably clean.

The following condition report, while thorough, is not exhaustive as vintage cars have inherent wear and imperfections. We welcome personal inspections.

The wheels exhibit some warpage, and wobble slightly in operation; fuel gauge does not operate; no other apparent concerns.
