Aesop's Fables originated in ancient Greece and later became a popular early illustrated book that was first printed in the mid 15th century. This early 17th-century edition was published by notable printer Joan Tornaesium (Jean de Tournes) (French, 1539-1615).

Poor to fair condition with loose binding/separation and loss to spine and boards. Writing on front paste-down endpaper; missing front free endpaper. Wormholes, staining; loss to title page and several other pages, with no impact on text with the exception of the final index page. Fragile, yet main text complete. Extremely rare.
