Spanish born Juan Bayón Salado was a talented and prolific painter in the Post-Impressionist style. He adopted the pseudonym "Jean Salabet" while living and painting in Paris between 1950 and 1969. This painting was likely painted after he returned to Bilbao, Spain in 1969.
