Using the classic tapestry technique, Andrzej Rajch transposes black and white graphic compositions that create the illusion of matter draped in space. These numerous bends, creases and changes in the direction of the running strips create the impression of three-dimensionality, relief, and even tangible folds of the structure. Using the language of geometry, Andrzej Rajch plays an intellectual and emotional game with the recipient. This material, not obvious at first glance, became the main motif of his compositions from the most recognized series 'Gracje'.

Andrzej Rajch was a graduate of the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź, now known as known today as the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź, and served as an instructor and head of the Department of Textile Design of his alma mater.
