Attributed to eastern Virginia, circa 1800, mahogany veneers, yellow pine secondary, distinctive shaped top with rounded corners and stepped concave front, hinged lid with single gate-leg support, top edges with double light wood line inlay, skirts with light wood line inlaid panels raised on square tapered legs with light wood line inlay and lower banded cuff.

Top with light scratching and wear; some cuff inlay missing; some insect damage to secondary woods.
