Mid-19th century, the first in domed form with burl veneers and ornate marquetry figural inlays including a putti chariot scene and mythical beasts, opens to green bird's eye maple veneers and green velvet domed interior (5 x 11 3/4 x 4 1/2 in.); the second a sewing box in rosewood veneers, with mother of pearl and brass inlays, opens to a divided lift off tray with lower storage (4 1/2 x 11 x 8 in.). Both unmarked.

Sewing box with some inlay losses, some minor scratches to interior tray and storage; domed box with some small veneer losses at corners and minor shrinkage to veneers, crack to base panel.
