Bob Rankin is a Raleigh native and a longtime fixture of the Raleigh art scene. He graduated from East Carolina University and has studied extensively throughout Europe. Among his many accolades, Rankin is a seven time winner Best Artist in the Triangle from Spectator Magazine, INDY Week, Metro Magazine and The Downtowner. He was awarded the Raleigh Medal of the Arts in 1992 and inducted into the Raleigh Hall of Fame in 2012. In June 2023, Walter Magazine published a featured article on Bob, "It's a Colorful Life: Bob Rankin's Talent and Teachings."
