Scottish George III Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Clock

Circa 1800, pine secondary, painted metal face with moon dial featuring a clipper ship, second hand and calendar dials, the hood with dentil molded cornice, vertical and geometric inlaid frieze, inlaid paterae flanking the hinged tombstone door with old glass pane, fully turned spiral twist columns with brass caps, shaped glazed side apertures, the waist with hinged door having banded inlays, corner fan inlays and central shell inlaid paterae, spiral twist quarter columns, the base with barber pole banded inlay and floral corner inlays on turned feet, with pendulum, two weights, case key and winding key.

One missing dentil tooth to left side of hood; scraping to hood shelf from door usage; paint flaking and old surface wear to painted metal face; one later board to back; some minor veneer buckling especially to base sides; later turned feet.
