Early 19th century, mahogany veneer, southern yellow pine and oak secondary, two part form, the table featuring two D-end sections, each with single drop leaf and single central gate-leg support, veneered skirt, eight square tapered legs.
29.25 x 85.5 x 48 in., each D-end 23.5 in., each leaf 19 in.
Private Collection, Virginia Top surfaces with old marring, dark staining and scratches; both D-ends with later underside bracing and tops reset; sun fading to one D-end at skirt and legs; all legs with later protective riser; both with later hinges; one center gate-leg with break and repair by fly rail joint; the other D-end with break and repair to two legs (front center and rear right); the same D-end with later oak veneer at skirt.
