19th century, English and French, to include: a burlwood round box, lid with medal depicting Prime Minister George Canning, signed "RIBOURT F" and surrounded by metal fillet, opening to tortoise shell lined interior (2 1/2 in. dia.); a round lacquer box with green and purple bands, geometric decoration, lid with engraved profile portrait of Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, and their son surrounded by metal fillet (3 1/8 in. dia.); a round wood box, lid with painted glass miniature painting depicting figures in a landscape surrounded by gilt metal fillet, opening to interior with tortoise shell rim (3 1/4 in. dia.); a rectangular papier-mâché lacquered box, hinged lid with hand-painted depiction of a woman (3 1/2 x 2 1/4 in); an enamel heart-shape box decorated with lattice pattern, hinged lid with figural scenes (2 1/8 x 1 3/4 in.).

Burlwood box with light scratches and verdigris; round lacquer box with light verdigris, surface scratches, minor chip to bottom edge and small loss to underside, interior with evidence of use and sticker; round wood box with light surface scratches, (2) 3/8-in. cracks on exterior, lid with loose glass cover, painted glass broken, wear to interior with separation at metal and hole in tortoise shell; papier mâché box with mark to lid and (2) chipped corners, crackling to paint with some loss to paint, light surface scratches and general signs of use; enamel box with glue residue, marks to underside, separation of enamel from metal, interior and exterior with areas of enamel loss and cracks, lid does not fully close.
