Circa 1770-80, likely New England, shaped crest rail with carved and scrolled ears, pierced back splat set within a molded shoe, shaped arms with tapered scrolled knuckles, needlepoint slip seat, molded seat rail, front cabriole legs with pad foot, rear down-swept legs, block and turned stretcher base, the rear seat rail stamped 'H'.

38 x 23 x 19.5 in., seat height 19 in., arm height 28.5 in.

Sun fading to the back; later upholstery; arms reset; chip to left arm at inner stile joint; front right knee return later; rear left foot with chip; scattered age appropriate wear and dark staining; structurally sound.
