Post 1981, Turkey, the red field with two blue cross medallions on conjoined ivory squares, surrounded by stars and rosettes, the ivory border with multicolor stairstep motifs surrounded by multiple minor borders, flatweave ends, "Dobag Project" tag stating Ayvacik district, Suleymankoy village, and Sebhat Kaya the name of the weaver.

Founded in 1981, the DOBAG Project (Doğal Boya Araştırma ve Geliştirme Projesi) was begun as an initiative to revive traditional Turkish weaving traditions, creating rugs with only natural dyes, and to provide a fair wage and income to village women.

Some staining, otherwise good estate condition.
