19th century, the box formed from a stack of (4) leather bound books with gilt lettering and decoration on spines, several with red stained edges and raised bands, hinged lid opens to reveal (1) small decanter and (4) glasses, each with gilt decoration. Lot also includes (1) additional decanter and (1) glass.

Wear and losses to books, especially at edges and spines; losses to leather and wear in box interior; wear and fraying to hinging rope; (1) decanter with chipping to inner rim, stopper with flea bites and small chips, wear to gilding, the other with light wear to gilding, stopper stuck in bottle; (1) cordial with small flake and wear to gilding, the rest in need of cleaning, otherwise good condition.
