Wool, the first Shahvasan, soumak face, with rows of repeating scorpion motifs within diamonds within squares, in white, orange, red and blue, with reciprocating border, back with thin stripes of blue, green, black, and red, decorative stitching to sides, with two applied braided handles (wear, some small areas of loss to face, small hole to verso, small repair to one side seam) (28.5 x 43 in.); the second a Baluch flatweave bag, the face with vertical columns of white, black, and brown, with zigzag and hooked motifs, with soumak reciprocal wave border, back with horizontal stripes of dark brown, blue, and dark red, interspersed with thin bands of reciprocal hooked design, flatweave applied edging to three sides, with fringe (wear, repairs, knot pulls, some small holes, loss to fringe) (21 x 26 inches not including fringe).
