Catawba County, North Carolina, circa 1830, 36 cal., 48.25 in. octagonal barrel marked with illegible signature, full curly maple stock, double-set triggers, lock plate marked JOSEPH C. RANDALL WARRANTED, lock plate engraved 1857, brass furniture, brass patchbox, and wooden ramrod.

This flintlock rifle is made by the same hand as Rifle #182 and Rifle #183 in North Carolina Schools Of Long Rifles 1765-1865 by William W. Ivey.

Professional restoration to stock wrist, 6.5 in. repair to the forestock on the right side, flintlock action inoperable, oxidation to metal elements, otherwise good condition.

Action is inoperable, visually pleasing condition for display, working repair to stock wrist, 6.5 in. working repair to right forend.
