English, first half 19th century, the first depicts a bucolic county scene, impressed underside mark "16" (17 in.) (light cutlery marks, tight edge hairline, underside darkening), the second is a Ralph Hall & Co. platter showing a castellated fortress upon a hillside in Wales, backstamp "Gryn Flintshire Wales" (17 in.) (cutlery marks, scrapes to high points, some edge and underside soiling).
