Margaret White paints with dry pigments and aluminum in layered oil washes, the surfaces reflecting light. She received an MFA from American University in 1975, studying with Robert D’Arista, and has had fellowships at Vermont Studio Center and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Her paintings were shown at Georgetown Art Gallery and the Rotunda Gallery of the Katzen Center in Washington, D.C., at Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and have been included in several Raleigh Fine Arts shows.
