In Part II of Catalogue Raisonne by Charles Avery, this work is included as no. 126, and is listed as an "excerpt" from Bertos' multi-figure allegorical bronze groups titled Triumph of Painting and Music (cat. no. 109) in the collection of the Chrysler Museum of Norfolk, Virginia. Avery explains that Music's pose in this excerpt is comparative to the one in the multi-figure composition, where the main difference is "her left arm has been readjusted so that its hand reaches across her body to conceal her breast." In the multi-figure composition, Music is seen holding a scroll in her left arm (which is raised), along with modifications to the drapery elements, two tresses to the hair, and some modifications to the seat.
