Circa 1840, the tall headboard featuring two central oval panels with burled book-matched panels, carved, scrolled and pierced crest, together with four distinctive posts featuring bold robust upper turnings, octagonal faceted upper column, central ring, octagonal lower column, suppressed ball feet, together with side rails, foot and head rails, with bolts.

Headboard approximately 102 x 70 in.; exterior assembled 102 x 88 x 69; interior rails 80 x 61 in., floor to bottom of rail 13.5 in.

Lacking tester; overall good usable condition; optional custom boxspring and wood slats.
