Second quarter 19th century, likely American, watercolor on ivory, unsigned, all dressed in priestly cassock with Geneva band neckwear, the larger with red hair and blue eyes, holding a rolled text, presented behind glass with olive velvet mat and brass frame (frame 7 1/8 x 5 in., painting 4 3/8 x 3 3/8 in.); the second of a dark-haired sitter against a blue sky ground, presented behind glass in ebonized wood and brass frame (frame 6 x 4 3/8 in., painting 3 x 2 3/8 in.); the third of a dark-haired sitter with steel-blue eyes against a blue sky ground, presented behind glass in a red leather case (case 3 x 2 5/8 in., painting 2 5/8 x 2 in.)

Larger portrait with some minor glue residue to outermost perimeter edge of painting, brass frame with some resoldering to miter seams; portrait in ebonized frame with some waviness to ivory wafer, lower section with associated faint hairlines; third portrait with some rubbing to perimeter of painting, leather case with scattered wear and missing top cover.
