First half of 19th century, watercolor on ivory, the first manner of Moses B. Russell (American 1809-1884), a charming portrait of a young girl holding a kitten, set within a chased gold? oval locket setting designed for a bracelet, verso glazed aperture revealing hairwork art on iridescent radial ground (frame 1 1/2 x 1 3/8 in.); the second of a gentleman with dark hair and eyes, wearing black coat and white stock tie, set within a copper bracelet mount with five coral bead strands (miniature sight size 11/16 in.; bracelet length including miniature 6 1/4 in.); third a round miniature of a lady with sky ground, possibly French, set within a round gilt brooch with enamel daisy decoration and pin back (1 1/8 in. diameter).

Collection of a Gentleman

Some small areas of enamel loss to petals and rubbing too gilt; some scratches to case; some scratches to gold and copper settings, clasps still operating well.
