The first, a gilt brass bookstand, 20th century, ornate openwork, raised on (4) bracket feet, adjustable angle to (10) different heights, folds flat for storage; the second, a Venetian giltwood book stand, 19th century, carved, a footed rectangular form with a scrolled shelf and convertible stand, not marked.

The first, 1 1/2 x 10 1/4 x 7 7/8 in.; The second 6 x 14 1/2 x 12 1/2 in. (both closed)

The first, light wear and minor denting, minor verdigris; overall warping with adjustable stand slightly off-center and rests on (3) legs, missing removable/adjustable peg feet; the second, some flaking and wear to gilt decoration, scattered age cracking.
