Lodovico Castelvetro (Italy, ca. 1505-1571) was a Renaissance literary scholar and critic, well-known for his influential commentary on Poetics.

Boards with light staining, several wormholes and area of grime on back cover; manuscript on free endpaper, toning and foxing throughout, occasional damp stain, with frequent ink manuscript and passages crossed out. About very good.
