Italy, 19th century, the first a celestial scene, the wide blue ground border painted with mythical creatures, pierced for hanging (18 in.) (blue touch-ups), the second depicts a battle scene (21 in.) (allover crazing and surface flaking), anchor mark to the underside generally used for Venetian majolica; the third is primitive in concept with and may be Spanish in origin with the deep dish plate featuring a molded image of two monarchs, possibly Ferdinand and Isabella (18 in.) (edge wear, glaze skips) the triangular mark on the underside is similar to one used in Urbino.
