Last quarter 19th century, the first English, mahogany with light and dark wood inlays to lid and sides, chest form with carved skirt and bracket feet, paper-lined interior having peacock blue-green velvet base (6 x 11 x 7 1/2 in.); the larger in walnut, scalloped carved lid, rounded dovetailed corners, and conforming rounded molding accents to sides, raised on a bold molded base, interior with lift off tray lined in green leather (8 3/4 x 16 1/8 x 9 in.).

Some scratches; small losses to inlay; later leather, velvet and paper to interiors.
