Mid 19th century, solid carved frames, shaped and relief carved crest above a relief carved vasiform shaped back splat with beveled rear edge, shaped stiles with relief carved bellflower, ballon slip seat, front cabriole legs with robust shell carved knee, ball and claw feet, down-swept rear legs with block foot.

Overall attractive dark patina and warm mellow surface with tight joinery and in good usable condition.

Vintage but later brown leather upholstered slip seats; some corner joints reset at knee; wear to front feet.
